Guangzhou Evergrande have confirmed that Muriqui has returned to Chinese Super League from Vasco da Gama.
The 31-year-old Brazilian striker signed a six-month contract until the end of the current season as the club announced on Wednesday.
“Guangzhou Evergrande is pleased to announce the re-signing of the club’s legendary player Muriqui,” read a statement on club’s official website.
Muriqui departed Guangzhou Evergrande in 2014 after helping his team to win the first ever AFC Champions League title in previous year when his 13 goals in 14 games led him to become MVP.
The Former Al Sadd and FC Tokyo player also succesfully won three CSL titles and Chinese FA Cup during his four-year spell with the southern Chinese side.
