Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada has joined Eintracht Frankfurt from J-League club Sagan Tosu on a four-year contract.
The 20-year-old, who has scored three goals in 16 J1-League appearances this season, will follow the footsteps of Japanese talents such as Naohiro Takahara, Junichi Inamoto, Takashi Inui and Makoto Hasebe in the Bundesliga.
“Daichi has a lot of potential. We’ve seen him playing many times,” Frankfurt sporting director Fredi Bobic exclaimed about the Japanese starlet on the club’s official website.
According to reports from Germany, the DFB Pokal finalists have paid €2.5 million to sign Daichi. He will join his new teammates for the beginning of preseason on Saturday.
