Buriram United has officially announced the signing of Thai-Dutch defender Delvin Pinheiro Frederico from Dutch club HBS Craeyenhout.
The 21-year-old full-back is anticipated to strengthen Buriram’s defending for the second stage of this season’s Thai League T1. He will compete with Thai footballer Narubadin Weerawatnodom in the right wing position.
Being raised in Rotterdam, Netherlands by a Capeverdean father and a Thai mother, Delvin started training for Sparta Rotterdam before stepping up to Nike Academy affiliates.
As a young talent, the Thai-Dutch sought for more chances outside the Netherlands border by moving to Cacereño FC in Shekunida, the Spanish second division league.
However, Delvin could not prove himself much in Spain and had to make a return to the Netherlands by joining Kozakken Boys in 2015 and HBS Craysenhout in 2016.
