Johor Darul Ta’zim sign Natxo Insa from Spanish club Levante

Malaysia Super League outfit Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) has signed midfielder Natxo Insa from Spanish Segunda División club Levante, according to an official statement posted on the club’s official website.

Insa started his career in the famed Valencia youth academy before moving to Villarreal in 2009. He also had short spells with Celta Vigo and Real Zaragoza, before joining Levante in 2017.

The 30-year-old midfielder helped the Valencia-based club to secure promotion in the second half of the 2016-17 season.

Natxo is also the brother of Kiko Insa, who is currently plying his trade at Pahang.

Natxo could obtain Malaysia citizenship through his grandmother, who was born in Sabah. His brother Kiko has already become a neutralized Malaysian after successfully applied for Malaysia citizenship.
