Four JDT players pull out from Malaysia squad against Lebanon due to injuries

Four Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) players have been pulled out of Malaysia’s opening AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Lebanon on June 13.

Aidil Zafuan, S. Kunanlan, Fazly Mazlan and Azrif Nasrulhaq will not join the squad in their home ground of the Larkin Stadium next week due to injuries.

To replace the injured players, head coach Nelo Vingada has called up Nazrin Syamsul Bahri, Faisal Rosli, Afif Amiruddin and Nazirul Naim.

“The injuries suffered by the boys and calling up these news four players will not affect the team’s preparations. In fact, it is going better than expected,” he said as quoted by The Star.

“Calling up these four players will not affect the team’s preparations. In fact, it’s going well,” the newly-appointed coach told The Star. “Hopefully, there will be no any new injuries as we want to maintain this squad until the match.”
