Carlton Cole is ready to play against Bhayangkara FC on Sunday despite rumors that he is leaving Indonesia’s Persib Bandung after just two months.
There have been reports that Persib Bandung’s board of directors would terminate the contract of former Premier League player Carlton Cole due to his fitness problems.
However, head coach Djadjang Nurdjaman says he still gives Cole a chance to show his skills until the end of the first leg.
Insisting on going nowhere, Cole blames his current performance on the lack of playing minutes. The Englishmen has played just over 100 minutes in eight appearances for Persib Bandung since joining the club back in April.
“Of course I am ready. There are rumors circulating, but I will not think about it. I will work hard and try to show the best to everyone. But what I need is a minute to play, “said Cole on Goal Indonesia.
Cole joined the Indonesian club in April, following ex-Premier League footballer Michael Essien who was signed by Persib Bandung two weeks earlier.
