Persib Bandung head coach Djadjang Nurdjaman said he did not know anything about Carlton Cole’s future at the club, following rumors that the former West Ham striker has been released.
The 43-year-old coach claimed that he was not notified by the club’s board of directors about Cole, and he was shocked to learn about the 33-year-old striker’s dismissal from the media.
Cole has played just over 100 minutes in eight appearances for Persib Bandung since joining the club back in April.
“I don’t know about [Cole’s dismissal] because the board didn’t tell me anything”, Djadjang Nurdjaman said, as quoted by CNN Indonesia.
Earlier on Friday, reports emerged in Indonesia said that Cole has left the Persib Bandung. However, the club have yet to make an official statement regarding Cole’s future.
