Super Power Samut Prakan have parted ways with manager Jason Withe, thus became the latest Thai League 1 team to change their boss in the middle of the season.
Englishman Jason Withe submitted his resignation to bottom place Super Power management on Thursday. The decision was announced by Super Power team manager Pisit Hemmachan on the same day.
According to Super Power management board, Withe decided to resign to “shoulder responsibility for the team’s poor performance during the first leg of the season”, as quoted by Bangkok Post.
Super Power have fallen into the relegation zone since the beginning of this year’s league and reached the halfway of the season on the bottom of the table with only one point from 17 matches so far.
After the departure of Withe, the club have already appointed native Apisit Khaikaew as the new head coach of the team until the end of the season.
