A display of efficiency helped Portugal beat hosts South Korea 3-1 in Cheonan in the Round of 16 at the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Portugal scored on their first two chances of the match when Xadas and Bruno Costa both steered in efforts with accuracy.
Xadas put the game to bed in the 69th minute when he weaved his way through South Korea’s defence before placing a shot into the bottom corner.
Substitute Lee Sangheon scored in the 81st minute to give the hosts a glimmer of hope but it proved a mere consolation.
Portugal will play the winner of Uruguay-Saudi Arabia – who face off tomorrow in Suwon – on Sunday 4 June.
