In the final group stage match of the 2017 U-20 World Cup Group F, Saudi Arabia drew 1-1 against the United States to clinch a knock-out spot.
Brooks Lennon opened the score in the 40th minute after firing in from close range, but the Stars and Stripes were reduced to 10 men after Cameron Carter-Vickers received his second yellow card.
Abdulelah Alamri was the hero for Saudi Arabia as he rose the highest to head home a corner in the 74th minute.
The result saw the West Asian side finished as one of the best third-placed team and advance to the Round of 16. Meanwhile, the United States won Group F with 1 win and 2 draws.
Saudi Arabia U-20 will face Uruguay U-20 on Wednesday, 31 May while United States U-20 will clash against New Zealand U-20 on Thursday, 1 June.
