Head coach Totchtawan Sripan has revealed that there was no discussion with the board of directors regarding a new contract.
The 45-year-old said that the time was not right for such talks.
Muangthong suffered a surprise defeat against Port FC last time out, losing 2-3 after taking the early lead.
Totchtawan Sripan flatly responded to the reporter when asked whether he was discussing a new contract with the administration board or not.
“But the club has already mentioned it. Just that it was not the right time. Let’s go past this and then it is said and done,” said Totchtawan.
Muangthong will host Ubon UMT later today in the Thai Premier League, before facing Kawasaki Frontale in the first leg of the AFC Champions League Round of 16.
