India U-17 national football team have recorded a famous 2-0 win over Italy in a friendly game on Friday in Arezzo.
This is the first time when India successfully defeated Italy, who are considered as one of world’s powerhouse and also have won the FIFA World Cup four times.
Abhijit Sarkar gave Luis Norton’s men the lead in the 31st minute, before Rahul Praveen doubled the score for the visitors in the 80th minute.
The match is part of the exposure tour of Europe for the Indian boys as they gear up for the FIFA U-17 World Cup to be held in India later this year.
India will be one of the Asian representatives in the tournament that will be played between October 6 and 28 along with Iran, Iraq, Japan and North Korea.
