Indonesian Ezra Walian’s contract with Jong Ajax expires in a month and the hot prospect has expressed his desires to remain in Europe.
The naturalised striker is likely to part way with Jong Ajax by 30 June, but Ezra Walian’s agent reveals that he is doing everything to find a new club for his client.
Walian’s agent earlier claimed that there are five clubs interested in the 19-year-old, including English club Reading FC.
The player himself also wanted to stay and compete in a European league.
“I still want to play for clubs in Europe. I want to remain in Europe, not in Indonesia,” Ezra Walian told the media crew after taking the oath as an Indonesian citizen on Thursday, 18 May.
When asked which clubs are already chasing and communicating with him, Ezra Walian did not disclose any information.
“I have not decided [which club] yet, I am still waiting.”
Walian was given his first call-up by Indonesia manager Luis Milla for a friendly against Myanmar on 21 March 2017.
He made his debut for Indonesia after coming on as a substitute in the start of second half.
