Jong Ajax will not offer Indonesian striker Ezra Walian new contract

Indonesian youngster Ezra Walian will not be offered an extension when his current contract expires this summer will be free to continue his playing career elsewhere.

The 19-year-old striker is set to leave Jong Ajax after losing his first-team position to Colombian young forward Mateo Cassierra in this season.

“It is Ajax, a great team for me. I learned a lot in here,” he told Algemeen Dagblad.

Walian is a product of Ajax Amsterdam youth academy, who made his debut at Jong Ajax in an Eerste Divisie game against FC Oss in September last year.

He has represented the Netherlands at youth level from U-15 to U-19 since 2012, but decided to represent Indonesia at senior level through naturalization program in March this year.
