United Arab Emirates still on the lookout for new head coach

The UAE FA twitter account confirmed that they’re still negotiating with several possible candidates to manage the national team.

This tweet came after rumours that Edgardo Bauza is the next manager and the people are not happy as he failed even when he had Messi with him.

The tweet confirmed that the announcement will be made via press conference when the deal is achieved.

The UAE head coach position is vacant after Mahdi Ali announced his resignation after a 2-0 defeat to Australia in the 2018 World Cup qualification last month.

Recent reports have linked former Germany and United States boss Jurgen Klinsmann to the job while Claudio Ranieri, who won the Premier League with Leicester City last season, has also been in the mix.

Peru coach Ricardo Gareca is also in contention.

Mahdi Ali left his post as UAE coach after their 2-0 defeat away to Australia last month, which all but ended their hopes of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
