Five most successful head coaches of Thailand national team

2. Kiatisuk Senamuang (2014-2017)

The most recent head coach of the War Elephants, Kiatisuk achieved massive success with the national team.

As head coach of Thailand U-23, Kiatisuk guided the team to 2013 SEA Games football gold, adding to 4 golds he won as a player in 4 straight Games from 1993 to 1999.

He also led Thailand U-23 to the semi-final at 2014 Asian Games and finished at the 4th place.

In 2014, Kiatisuk and Thailand won the 2014 ASEAN Football Championship after a 4-3 aggregate victory against Malaysia, making him the first player and coach to win the tournament. The former striker would later go on and win the 2016 edition of AFF Championship as well.

Kiattisuk helped Thailand finish top of the group in the 2018 World Cup qualification second round with 14 points from 6 games.

Thailand advanced to the final round of the qualification but heavy defeats against Japan and UAE in March 2017 caused Kiatisuk to step down.
