Injured Chaiyawat Buran in major doubt for SEA Games

Thailand could be without Pattaya United’s Chaiyawat Buran in this year’s SEA Games after the striker picked up an ankle injury.

Chaiyawat’s injury occurred in the second-half of Pattaya’s clash with Suphanburi on Tuesday. The 20-year-old hurt his ankle after fighting for the ball with Suphanburi’s Chananan Pombuppha.

Both Pattaya United and Thailand national team supporters have reason to worry about Chaiyawat’s injury. The striker is one of the club’s hot prospect and him being sidelined will undoubtedly affect Pattaya’s form.

As of now, there has been no update on how serious the injury.

It would be a big loss for the defending champions if Chaiyawat can’t recover in time for SEA Games in August.
