Ex-Monaco winger Juan Pino announced as Arema’s marquee signing

Arema FC have announced the signing of former Monaco winger Juan Pablo Pino as their marquee player for the Indonesian Liga 1 this season.

The Colombian international is well known for his three-year spell at France’s Ligue 1 side from 2007 to 2010, where he scored six goals in 65 appearances.

He started his career with Colombian outfit Independiete Medellin before moving to Europe to join Monaco. Thereafter, he served Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Following a couple of seasons with Galatasaray, the 30-year-old was roped in by several clubs including Charleroi, Bastia, Olympiakos and Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr.

Pino, who played for the Colombia U-20 side, has also had two appearances for senior team since made his international debut in 2009.
