Jamal Belmadi praised the fighting spirit of his side after the victory against Esteghlal Khouzestan of Iran in matchday 4 of AFC Champions League Group B.
The manager said that Lekhwiya did the required job to come from behind and win the match.
Nam Tae-hee was the man of the hour as he scored one and assisted another to complete an impressive comeback for his side.
Nam scored in the 35th minute to equalize, before setting up Almoez Ali for the winner.
“It wasn’t an easy match, we played for a win and we came back to score two goals after receiving the first one from the Iranian team,” Belmadi said
“This win came over a very strong team which was in the first place of the group and played very strong matches.
“For that, I am happy for my team who proved that he will play on an even higher level in the future”, he added.
Lekhwiya leap to the top of Group B with 8 points in Group B, while Esteghlal Khouzestan trail right behind with 7 points.
