Philippines and Thailand retain top Southeast Asia spots in FIFA rankings

The Philippines and Thailand dropped in the FIFA World Rankings but are still the top-ranked Southeast Asia teams in the rankings released on Thursday.

Iran are ranked as the top side in Asia with 820 points and stand at number 28 in the world.

The next Asian countries on the overall list are South Korea (700 points) and  Japan (685 points), standing at 43rd and 44th respectively.

In Southeast Asia, the Philippines have dropped three places to the 127th position with 251 points.

Thailand are right behind with 245 points in the 129th spot, having dropped two places.

Vietnam stand still in the 136th place with 217 points, making no movement in the past month.

The biggest climber in Asia was India, who jumped 31 places, to be ranked 101st with 331 points.
