Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) has confirmed that the Indonesia U-19 team will be participating in the annual Toulon Tournament holding in France from May 29 to June 10 this year.
The PSSI’s director of media and international relationship Hanif Thamrin revealed that the Young Garuda will face several nations from across the globe.
“We have confirmed to take a part in that tournament. Our opponents will be junior teams from Europe, Asia and also Americas,” he was quoted as saying by Goal Indonesia.
New Indonesia U-19 boss Indra Sjafri will take charge of the side, as he continues his preparations for the next AFC U-19 Championship, which start in October 2018.
Indonesia will be one of 12 countries split into three groups. There are 11 have already confirmed their participation including England, Japan, Wales, Bahrain and Ivory Coast.
