Cambodia Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen appreciated the national football team for their effort in the opening game of AFC Asian Cup 2019 qualifiers.
Cambodia suffered a heavy away loss to Jordan as the host shipped seven goals past them on Tuesday.
The Cambodia Prime Minister wrote that he hoped the players would try to play even better to get a win in the next game.
Cambodia dropped to the bottom of their group, while Jordan move to the top of Group C, followed by Vietnam and Afghanistan after their draw.
Cambodia’s next qualification match is in June against Afghanistan at the Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh.
