In matchday 6 of the World Cup Qualification third round, Japan and Saudi Arabia came out winners as the pair consolidate their top spot in Group B. Elsewhere, there were victories for Syria, China and Iran.
Thailand 0-3 Saudi Arabia
Thailand have yet to register a win after losing 3-0 to Saudi Arabia at the Rajamangala Stadium last night.
The home side played their heart out with their inspirational defence and pacey counter-attacks.
However, the table toppers were just too good for the War Elephants – with clinical finishes from Mohammed Al Sahlawi (25′) and Salman Almuwashar (90′) sandwiching an own-goal by Tanaboon Kesarat (84′).
Thailand remain at the bottom of Group B with just a single point after 6 matches and their campaign seems to be all but over.
Saudi Arabia, on the other hand, retain their top spot and look on course to qualify for the World Cup.
