Teerasil Dangda becomes the first player to score 100 league goals for Muangthong United. The 28-year-old striker scored the winning goal against Nakhon Ratchasima in the 63rd minute, after chasing down the loose ball at the far post and tapping it in. The other goal came from Mongkol, at the 19th minute with a header following Theerathon’s corner kick.
This victory is all the more special as it marks a record-breaking 15-game winning streak for Muangthong, stretching back to last season. The league leader also kept the sixth consecutive clean sheet.
The Kirin will today travel to Korea for Tuesday’s AFC Champions League clash at Ulsan Hyundai.
