Guangzhou Evergrande held to a draw in South Korea

Chinese Super League outfit Guangzhou Evergrande was held to a 2-2 draw by Suwon Samsung Bluewings in the AFC Champions League on Wednesday.

Santos scored the opener for the South Korean club after 15 minutes, but Guangzhou Evergrande responded well and equalized via Ricardo Goulart just 10 minutes later.

Jonathan put the host back in front in early in the second half, only for Alan Douglas to equalize with just a few minutes remaining.

Meanwhile, an Alex Teixeira goal in each half saw Jiangsu FC to a 2-1 win over Australian club Adelaide United.

Jeju United of South Korea bounced back from its opening defeat with a 4-1 victory against Japanese side Gamba Osaka, while 2016 finalist Al Ain beat Uzbek club Bunyodkor 3-2.
