Ezequiel Lavezzi wants to leave China for Napoli return

Argentine attacker Ezequiel Lavezzi admitted that he would want a return to Napoli as a player. However, the former PSG footballer also said he knew the club don’t want to bring him back at the moment.

The 31-year-old spent five seasons with Napoli from 2007 to 2012, before joining Paris Saint-Germain. Last year, he made the move to the Chinese Super League, joining Hebei China Fortune on a two-year-deal.

“I left so many great things in Naples and still have a real nostalgia for the city,” Lavezzi told reporters.

“I always thought about coming back to Napoli, but I think the President doesn’t want me there. If one day I do return to Italy and it isn’t to Napoli, know that it’s because they didn’t want me back”, he said.

“In the past, there was contact with other clubs, but nothing ever came of it”, the 31-year-old added.

Lavezzi hasn’t scored any goal for Hebei China Fortune in 10 league appearances.
