In the preparation for 2017 SEA Games, Indonesia U22 will participate in Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku, Azerbaijan this May.
The squad will be selected directly by head coach Luis Milla and they will play a friendly match with an unknown team before flying to Baku. After competing Islamic Solidarity Games, Indonesia U22 will have a training camp in Spain to continue the preparation process for 2017 SEA Games in Malaysia.
In the last Islamic Solidarity Games edition which was held in Indonesia in 2013, Indonesia U22 claimed the silver medal after 1-2 loss to Morocco in the final.
