Melbourne Victory manager Kevin Muscat is a contender for the vacant manager’s job at Glasgow Rangers.
The Scottish Premier League outfit have been looking for a permanent successor to Mark Warburton, who was sacked last week.
“We have been aware of this story through the day but have not received any inquiries about it or about Kevin Muscat,” a Victory spokesperson told The Age regarding the issue.
The 43-year-old Australian tactician played for Rangers in the 2002/2003 season, making 22 appearances and helping them win a domestic treble of trophies.
