Former Premier League footballer Asamoah Gyan has been deemed to have “unethical hair” by the United Arab Emirates Football Association (UAEFA).
According to reports, the 31-year-old striker was among 40 players who has been found guilty of breaching UAEFA rules that allow punishment for “unethical hair”, where a part of the head is shaved but other parts unshaven.
The Ghanaian striker has reportedly received a written warning from the UAEFA.
Asamoah Gyan joined Shanghai SIPG from Al-Ain in 2015 but is currently playing for Al Ahli Dubai on loan.
Previously, he had a short stint with English Premier League outfit Sunderland, as well as Ligue 1 club Rennes.
