Iran national team remain the highest ranked Asian nation in the latest FIFA ranking, which was published on Wednesday, despite moving down three places to 32nd.
South Korea are the second-highest ranked Asian nation, moving down two places to 39th, while Japan have to settle for the third place (52nd overall).
The top five teams in the overall table remain largely unchanged, with Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Chile and Belgium.
Meanwhile, in Africa, Cameroon’s successful Africa Cup of Nations campaign saw them moving up 29 places, while Ivory Coast’s failure at the competition saw them dropping down 13 places.
