The All Indian Football Federation (AIFF) has confirmed that the national team will play a friendly match with Cambodia on March 22 in preparation for the upcoming 2019 AFC Cup qualifiers.
According to AIFF, the friendly match will help the management board to analyze the team’s performance ahead of an important match with the White Angels.
India are in group A of the 2019 AFC Cup qualifiers, along with Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, and Macau. The team will play against Myanmar in their first match, which is scheduled to play on March 28.
In the previous qualification round, India were pitted against Iran, Oman, Turkmenistan, and Guam. The Blue Tigers finished last in the group with three points, recorded just one victory over minnows Guam.
