Portuguese midfielder Ruben Micael has signed a contract to play for Maccabi Tel Aviv on loan from Shijiazhuang Ever Bright until the end of the season, according to reports.
The former Porto and Atletico Madrid footballer joined the Chinese Super League outfit in 2015. He has made 38 league appearances for the club, scoring four goals.
He also represented Portugal at international level, making his debut for Selecao in 2011 but hasn’t been called up since 2013.
Ruben Micael was a part of the Porto team that won the UEFA Europa League trophy, the Primeira Liga title and the Portuguese cup in the 2010-11 season. He signed for Atletico Madrid along with former teammate Falcao but failed to make any league appearance for the Spanish club.
