Hong Kong club Kitchee has knocked V-League side Hanoi FC out of the AFC Champions League qualification after a 120-minute thriller at the Mong Kok stadium on January 25.
Argentine striker Gonzalo Marronkle opened the score for the visitor in the 73rd minute, but Kitchee were quick to react. Twelve minutes later, Brazil-born forward equalized for the host team, forcing the match into extra-time.
Nigerian forward Alex Akande put Kitchee ahead in the 108th minute, only for Gonzalo Marronkle to equalize just seven minutes later.
As the match was heading to a penalty shoot-out, midfielder Lam Ka Wai scored the winning goal for the Hong Kong club.
In the next round of the qualification, Kitchee will face South Korean club Ulsan Hyundai on February 7.
