Indonesia appoint Luis Milla as national team head coach

The Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) confirmed that Spanish manager Luis Milla has taken over as the head coach of the country’s national team.

The 50-year-old manager coached a number of Spanish youth sides before taking charge at Real Zaragoza last season. However, the Spanish club decided to terminate his contract on October 23 last year.

A former defensive midfielder, Luis Milla played for both Real Madrid and Barcelona during his career, winning three La Liga titles.

He also guided Spain U21 team to the UEFA European Under-21 Championship title in 2011.
