JDT to delay Malaysia Super League title celebration until September

Although Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) has sealed their 4th consecutive league title, their celebration will not take place until September, after the closing of the 2017 SEA Games in Malaysia.

“The celebration will be done with the players and fans in Johor after the 2017 SEA Games, which will be after the match against Kelantan at the Tan Sri Dato Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium, Larkin on September 20th 2017,” a statement on the Johor Southern Tigers Facebook page said.

“The celebration will be just like last time where the parade will begin from the Larkin Stadium and head towards Dataran Bandaraya Johor Bahru with the JDT fans,” the Johor-based club added.

On Saturday, the Malaysia Super League (MSL) powerhouse has made history with their 4th consecutive league title despite losing 2-1 away at Selangor. Kedah, who was the only team that can catch up with them, lost to Pahang away 2-1 with three games remaining.
