Filipino goalkeeper Neil Etheridge has rejected a three-year deal from Walsall to join Cardiff City on a free transfer, it has been confirmed.
Etheridge joins Walsall in 2015 and has established himself as their number one goalkeeper. All in all, he has played more than 80 league games for the Saddlers.
Cardiff City has reportedly made an inquiry for the goalkeeper back in January but failed to secure a deal with the English-born Etheridge.
However, the 27-year-old goalkeeper will now be able to join the Bluebird on July 1, when his contract with the Saddlers expires.
Neil Etheridge has made over 50 international appearances for the Philippines, despite having represented England at youth level.
He is eligible to represent the Philippines through his mother.
