Yuto Nagatomo: I was treated like a criminal!

Japanese full-back Yuto Nagatomo claimed that he was treated like a criminal after his blunder for Inter Milan against Napoli.

The 30-year-old failed to clear a cross and allowed Jose Callejon to escape his attention before the striker scored the winning goal for the visitors in the Italian Serie A game on Sunday.

“In Italy, if you do well you’re treated as a God,” Nagatomo wrote on Twitter.

“If you do badly you are criticised and insulted like a criminal. There’s no morals, no respect.”

However, the Japanese international insisted that he is still proud to be a part of Inter squad after spending his last seven seasons at Giuseppe Meazza.

“I’m proud to work in a hard environment where few have succeeded in doing so,” he added.

“I’ve been here for seven years. All this just gives me strength to look forward and to the future.”
