The eight teams in the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship 2019 Qualifiers Round 2 have identified their group opponents following the official draw ceremony at the AFC House on Wednesday.
Australia, one of the two teams with a perfect record from Round 1, were drawn into Group A and will face Vietnam, Islamic Republic of Iran and host nation Laos, who were unbeaten in the first round of the qualifying campaign.
Bangladesh, Philippines and China PR will travel to Myanmar for their Group B fixtures.
Round 2 of the Qualifiers will be played on February 27 to March 3, 2019, where the eight teams will be divided into two groups of four, with the group winners and runners-up from the respective groups advancing to the Finals.The four teams will then join the top three teams from the 2017 edition – DPR Korea, Korea Republic, and Japan – along with the host of the 2019 Finals, Thailand, next September.
