After a series of exposure trips, the Indian U-16 National Team is set to depart to Serbia to take part in the four-nation football tournament featuring Jordan, Tajikistan and host Serbia.
Coming from the back of Sportchain International friendlies against the USA and Norway followed by a string of friendlies in Qatar, Hong Kong and Spain, Indian U-16 Coach Bibiano Fernandes feels “it’s a marvellous opportunity before the final test[AFC U-16 Finals Malaysia 2018]”
AIFF has strategically planned this exposure trip to prepare the young guns for the AFC U-16 Finals where India is clubbed in Group C alongside Iran, Indonesia and Vietnam.
India’s fixtures in the U-16 four-nation tournament in Serbia is as follows:
May 9, 2018: India vs Jordan (IST 1930hrs).
May 11, 2018: Serbia vs India (IST 2230hrs).
May 13, 2018: Tajikistan vs India (IST 1930hrs).
