New Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has admitted that waiting for his players to get to grips with his tactical demands is causing him to be \u2018anxious\u2019 and \u2018nervous\u2019 after recording his first victory as United boss with an encouraging 3-2 victory over Bodo\/Glimt\u00a0in the Europa League on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The Norwegian selection took a brief 2-1 lead in the first half which led to the Portuguese coach admitting that watching his team go through the paces in the early weeks of his reign is nerve-wrecking.<\/p>\n

“I get anxious because I don’t know what will happen \u2013 you don’t control nothing at the moment \u2013 we are trying to see different things,” Amorim told TNT Sports<\/em>.<\/p>\n

“I don’t know the players and we have not worked a lot together. We go to the game excited, but at the same time you are nervous because you don’t know how the game will go.”<\/p>\n

Amorim made six changes to the team which drew 1-1 with Ipswich in his first game in charge bringing in Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Antony, Manuel Ugarte, Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund.<\/p>\n

“I think we have improved from Ipswich and we improved in the quality with the ball,” he said.<\/p>\n

“We will have to change players [against Everton]. We tried to press all the time and the last 10 minutes it was tough.<\/p>\n

“I felt Rasmus H\u00f8jlund was dead. I felt some players were tired.<\/p>\n

“Antony come back from injury, he had to go out of the game and we did four substitutions because of the fitness of the players. We are in that moment and we need the squad together.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
