Jadon Sancho has an opportunity this weekend to create a small piece of Chelsea history when the Blues come up against Brighton.<\/p>\n
The Blues\u2019 summer decision to sign Sancho\u00a0on loan from Manchester United with an obligation to buy wasn\u2019t met with universal acclaim, but he\u2019s so far managed to prove his doubters wrong already.<\/p>\n
The squad\u00a0is now looking extremely strong, particularly in the forward positions, with Sancho more than holding his own so far.<\/p>\n
In fairness, the 24-year-old left-winger has slotted into Enzo Maresca\u2019s squad pretty effortlessly, with a couple of eye-catching performances so far at the start of his Blues career.<\/p>\n
When Chelsea host Brighton this Saturday afternoon in the Premier League, Sancho has the opportunity to do something no Blues player has done since iconic club figures Cesc Fabregas and Eden Hazard.<\/p>\n
BBC Sport has shared that Sancho can become the third player to register an assist in each of his first three Premier League appearances for Chelsea, which would follow in the footsteps of Hazard (2012) and Fabregas (2014).<\/p>\n
Sancho came off the bench to provide a match-winning assist on his Chelsea debut earlier this month in a 1-0 victory against Bournemouth. Afterwards, the English attacker started in last weekend\u2019s 3-0 victory away to West Ham and recorded another assist.<\/p>\n
Blues fans are waiting to see if he can make his mark on today\u2019s upcoming league fixture.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s well documented that Sancho was nowhere near his best as a Manchester United star, but his impressive track record in the Bundesliga paints a totally different picture of the young star winning the hearts of Borussia Dortmund fans with his scintillating performances.<\/p>\n
