Aston Villa have apparently relayed to Atl\u00e9tico Madrid their willingness to make an offer for Jo\u00e3o F\u00e9lix, according to jounalist H\u00e9ctor G\u00f3mez two days ago.<\/p>\n

Mundo Deportivo<\/em> on Thursday reported that the Villans are insisting on signing the forward as Unai Emery wants him in their frontline for the Champions League. However it seems Aston Villa are not ready to meet the \u20ac60m fee wanted by the La Liga side.<\/p>\n

Additional news have it that Atl\u00e9tico are planning to get rid of F\u00e9lix as his relationship with Diego Simeone is fractured, with him having been sent out on loan for the last 18 months. Clearly the Madrid club\u2019s intention is to sell him this summer, with Record<\/em> in Portugal reporting yesterday that Benfica are looking to sign the player on loan with a \u20ac30m purchase option but Atl\u00e9tico are unlikely to accept the offer.<\/p>\n

Journalist Rub\u00e9n Ur\u00eda had relayed an update to Sport on Aston Villa\u2019s efforts to sign the Portugal international, claiming that Emery is in \u2018permanent contact\u2019 with the player.<\/p>\n

Atl\u00e9tico are asking for \u20ac60m, while the English club \u2018can\u2019t go beyond\u2019 \u20ac32m. However, despite the difference, the journalist claims Aston Villa are \u2018confident of advancing\u2019 a deal for F\u00e9lix, if they were to offload Jhon Dur\u00e1n in this window.<\/p>\n
