Having already purchased Archie Gray from Leeds United to reinforce their engine room, Football Insider reports that Tottenham Hotspur are keen to sign Eberechi Eze and Pedro Neto this summer in exploring options to strengthen other areas of the squad with focus on the frontline.<\/p>\n
According to Football Insider, Ange Postecoglou is keen on signing a new forward in this window and Spurs have identified Eze and Neto as serious targets. With both players costing a fee of around \u00a350m-\u00a360m, Tottenham will have to fork out a combined fee of more than \u00a3100m to sign the duo. Therefore, the report mentions that Spurs can only afford to purchase one of them.<\/p>\n
Crystal Palace are reportedly hoping to hang on to the Englishman, having already sold Michael Olise to Bayern Munich, while Neto\u2019s injury problems pose a concern for Spurs in getting any potential deal done for him.<\/p>\n
Football Insider states that Postecoglou is ideally looking for a new striker and wouldn’t even mind going for wingers like Neto or Eze as either player can score goals.<\/p>\n
Eze prefers playing as an attacking midfielder while also being comfortable playing on the left flank.\u00a0 Technically sound, he has the efficiency of linking-up the play, in addition to being able to create chances for fellow attackers, not to mention having the ability to finish off his chances while also being efficient in taking set-pieces.<\/p>\n
Netom however, is a different type of forward to Ezem being more of an explosive winger, with speed and his willingness to work hard without possession being his biggest assets. The Portuguese is also technically sound with the ability to dribble past opposition defenders.<\/p>\n
Eze and Neto have already amply showcased their qualities in the Premier League over the last few years so anyone among the two would be a great coup for Tottenham if they get a deal done.<\/p>\n
Realistically – considering the Wolves star\u2019s recent injury record – the Lilywhites could be better off signing Eze over Neto.<\/p>\n
