Harry Kane has entered the final year of his Tottenham contract while constantly being linked with a move to Bayern Munich as his next club as it offers the glitter of premier European trophy glamor.<\/p>\n
Three Lions skipper Kane has \u201cclearly signaled\u201d his decision to leave Tottenham and join Bayern Munich, according to the German club\u2019s honorary president Uli Hoeness. Having attracted keen interest from Bayern amid reports the Bundesliga champions have lodged a formal bid, honorary chairman Hoeness insists Spurs will \u201cbuckle\u201d over the standoff to sell the England captain should the latter \u201ckeep to his word\u201d about leaving.<\/p>\n
\u201cHarry Kane has clearly signaled in all conversations that his decision stands \u2013 and if he keeps to his word then we\u2019ll get him, because then Tottenham will have to buckle,\u201d Hoeness told German TV channel Sport1.<\/p>\n
\u201cKane wants to play internationally and luckily for us Tottenham will not be active internationally next year.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe now has another opportunity to come to a top club in Europe.<\/p>\n
\u201cUp to now, the father and the brother have always stood by what they promised. If it stays that way, that\u2019s OK.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tottenham\u2019s record scorer Kane turns 30 later this month and is currently in Australia on the club\u2019s pre-season Asia-Pacific tour. On Kane\u2019s future, new Spurs boss Ange Postecoglu said at his first press conference this week: \u201cI haven\u2019t had any assurances and I wouldn\u2019t expect any assurances.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat I know right now is that Harry is part of this squad. He\u2019s a very important part. He\u2019s one of the premier strikers in the world and I want him involved.\u201d<\/p>\n
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen reportedly met in London on Thursday, with Kane now in the final year of his Tottenham contract.<\/p>\n
Hoeness said: \u201cLevy is clever, he doesn\u2019t name a number. First we have to get him to name a number.<\/p>\n
\u201cOf course he plays for time. I think he\u2019s a savvy, super professional, I appreciate him a lot \u2013 but I don\u2019t think there are people on the other side who have been doing it since yesterday.\u201d<\/p>\n
