Having already successfully secured the high-profile signature of Los Blancos ace striker and last year\u2019s Ballon d\u2019Or, Karim Benzema, the Saudi outfit are apparently aiming to wrap up a deal for Chelsea\u2019s N’Golo Kante, after which they will be targeting Son, according to ESPN. \u00a0The South Korean forward has reportedly been made an offer of a four-year deal with \u00a326million-a-season and the Saudi club are expected to make an opening offer to Tottenham of \u00a351m plus bonuses for Son.<\/p>\n
Understandably Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is expected to resist offers for the forward, who has been one of the most consistent key players for the North London side, having also shared the honor of winning the Golden Boot with Mohamed Salah of Liverpool two seasons back.<\/p>\n
Son has scored\u00a0145 goals in 372 games for Tottenham since joining the club from Bayer Leverkusen in\u00a02015.<\/p>\n
The 30-year-old was not at his peak last season and was frank in admitting earlier this month that he had\u00a0‘struggled significantly’ the previous campaign as he was compelled to play with pain for nine months. He noticeably scored 13 fewer goals during the 2022-23 season and his struggle for form was quite obvious, amid a\u00a0disappointing season for the club as Spurs finished eighth in the Premier League.<\/p>\n
Should Son make the move to\u00a0Al-Ittihad, he would be reunited with former Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo, who led the Saudi Arabian side to the title last season.<\/p>\n
