Carlos Soler is finally coming into a fine run in form over his last two games as the midfielder scored against Israeli outfit Maccabi Haifa on Tuesday, then followed it up with another beauty on Saturday in the 4-2 win versus a hard-pressing Troyes selection.<\/p>\n
Paris Saint-Germain had initially fallen behind 1-0 early in the matchup but Soler darted into the box, where a perceptive, lurking Neymar found the Spain international\u00a0who scored unerringly to level the score.<\/p>\n
After Soler equalised for PSG, the usual MNM suspects \u2013 Messi, Neymar and Mbappe \u2013 also found the back of the net. After the eventual win, the midfielder spoke with reporters, where he was asked how it felt to be playing alongside Messi and Neymar.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am happy to play with them, with this club, in front of these fans,\u201d Soler told reporters postgame (h\/t Canal Supporters).<\/p>\n
\u201cSince my arrival, it has been wonderful. I work a lot and I will continue!\u201d<\/p>\n
Although admittedly it had taken some time for Soler to find his equilibrium and fit into the PSG squad, the 25-year-old is finally showing the potential to be that midfielder that can make incisive runs into the box and execute that goal-scoring touch and finesse, adding more depth behind the main attacking trident.<\/p>\n
