An official statement on the club\u2019s official website has been released stating that the club would be purchased by a \u201cnew ownership group\u201d led by Todd Boehly, with the club\u2019s shares to be purchased for \u00a32.5 billion, with the revenues going to charity and \u00a31.75 billion for the club\u2019s \u201cbenefit,\u201d according to the announcement.<\/p>\n
