The past few months have seen Paris Saint-Germain being hotly linked to former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane and these reports have grown in intensity.<\/p>\n
According to Marca<\/em>, PSG\u2019s intention to hire Zidane is a reality. Adding to that, the Spanish media outlet even states that there\u2019s an existing proposal already in place, and that as far as the PSG dressing room is concerned, the 49-year-old\u2019s presence is considered a pending and incoming for the 2022-2023 season.<\/p>\n
It is also alleged that manager Mauricio Pochettino and PSG have decided to at least proceed with the current arrangement until the end of this season, with the Champions League being still their primary objective.<\/p>\n
Apparently Manchester United\u2019s keen interest in Pochettino has made Zidane\u2019s return to management closer, only that both sides thought it would perhaps be best to start a project from scratch, and that is expected to be on June 30.<\/p>\n
With Kylian Mbapp\u00e9\u2019s contract set to expire in June, bringing in Zidane could be the wildcard that can see the 23-year-old sign an extension, at least on a short-term basis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
