We\u2019re pretty sure quite a few folks must\u2019ve wondering who\u2019s the guy who cockily slammed PSG\u2019s opener against Man City into the top corner , someone who actually looks pretty familiar and yet hard to put a name to.<\/p>\n
Everton fans will have no problems recognizing PSG\u2019s joint-top scorer this season, needless to say. It\u2019s none other than Idrissa Gueye, of course, the former Everton destroyer who was sent off for his horrendous tackle on Ilkay Gundogan the last time Man City came to Paris.<\/p>\n
And that same player has now turned into an absolute goal machine.<\/p>\n
We probably shouldn\u2019t be surprised the Senegal international has four goals already this season, given the way in which his strike against City was dispatched into the top corner of the top corner during PSG\u2019s 2-0 win.<\/p>\n
Gueye seems to be pretty much at home among the superstars at PSG with the company having added to the once-defensive midfielder\u2019s confidence in surging up front when the opportunities arise.<\/p>\n
With Kylian Mbappe charging down the right, Lionel Messi running towards the front post and Neymar jetting off to complete the full frontal assault, it certainly brought a smile to everyone\u2019s face when Gueye ended up the unlikely person to smash home the first offensive goal for the Parisians.<\/p>\n
Reacting on commentary, former City defender Danny Mills said: \u201cMessi makes a darting run into the box, really clever run across the goalkeeper. That takes a couple of defenders away.<\/p>\n

Those equally incisive aspects of his game were also on display at the Parc des Princes, as the midfielder disrupted numerous City attacks in potentially dangerous sitatuations. Clearly, destruction is a role he\u2019s pretty familiar with, having paid the price for taking it a little too far the last time he faced City.<\/p>\n
Gueye made all the wrong headlines the last time the two sides met. However, this time around, his name is featuring in the headlines for all the right reasons, next to Messi\u2019s.<\/p>\n
