Gallant Three Lions\u2019 skipper and striker Harry Kane – fresh from a form-vindicating, splendid run in the recently-concluded Euro 2020 campaign – is seemingly all set to replace his likely future teammate Kevin De Bruyne as the Premier League\u2019s top earner on a weekly-wage of \u00a3400,000 as Daniel Levy makes an actually not-so-unsurprising U-turn on his earlier hard-nosed decision not to sell the club talisman.<\/p>\n
Kane\u2019s highly-rumored and greatly-anticipated transfer to the Etihad is set to make him the Premier League\u2019s highest paid player on a weekly wage of \u00a3400,000 a week, as SunSport reports that the Tottenham chairman has<\/p>\n
Levy has suddenly seen it fit to make a sudden U-turn in his decision to keep the talismanic striker and is now open to accepting a bid from Man City.<\/p>\n
It is believed that that the England captain has agreed personal terms with the Manchester club which is set to make the league\u2019s highest earner with Kane displacing current top earner and potential teammate Kevin De Bruyne, who he named as his dream teammate in May, if the move actually goes ahead.<\/p>\n
Man City are expected to have to pay a fee in the region of \u00a3150million for Kane in order for Levy to part ways with his star player.<\/p>\n
The chairman had previously insisted that the 27-year-old would be staying in North London but reports now say he would be swayed by the \u00a3160million bid Man City are preparing.<\/p>\n
Kane scored a remarkable 23 goals in 35 appearances last season on his way to securing the Golden Boot award.<\/p>\n
He also demonstrated a more polished side to his playmaking by racking up an incredible 14 Premier League assists which also topped the leader board.<\/p>\n
It is expected playing in a more creative side with City next season will further inflate his stats.<\/p>\n
But transfer guru David Ornstein has been cautious in accepting that the Blues would spend such a hefty sum on the player.<\/p>\n
Kane is by no means at the end of his career but at 27 means Pep Guardiola would be getting fewer years out of the striker than if they signed Borussia Dortmund ace Erling Haaland, 21, for a similar fee.<\/p>\n
Though he has mainly been linked with Chelsea this summer, Haaland has history with City, his father Alf-Inge having played for the club from 2000 to 2003.<\/p>\n
